THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: WANDERLUST AND WHY IT DOESN’T APPEAL TO ME

Someone recently said to me if you stay in the same place you’ll never grow. Whilst attempting to be as open minded as I could with that, I couldn’t help but feel offended (and boy, did they know it). I tried not to overreact, I promise! It bugged me so much. What a naive thing to say. What’s so wrong in loving where you have lived your whole life? It’s not like I don’t leave the house, go on holidays or live my life to the full. I just choose to build my life where I feel comfortable, in a place that I know and love that…

THE STYLE EDITION: DRESSING FOR YOU AND ONLY YOU

The temptation to pick up THAT white striped knitted jumper from New Look is real. It’s cute, affordable and right on trend. I’ve seen it floating around Instagram, well actually, to be truthful it’s made an appearance on pretty much every bloggers feed. There’s something quite amazing about the powers of social media, the way it can circulate a product so quickly, put it smack bam into the social limelight and start a viral trend. Seems this New Look jumper is flavour of the month! Do I , don’t I?¬†Alas, there’s something stopping me from jumping on this bandwagon. So, whats the problem? Without any intention of…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: THE UNI CHAT

There are some ‘what if’ moments in life that I seem unable to shrug off more than others. What if I went to uni?¬†This question lurks in the back of my mind more often than not. Unfortunately, it’s just one of those questions that I won’t ever have closure for. I don’t know the answers, the outcome, how it would have changed my life, if at all. Ten years ago a decision not to take that big ol’ plunge into uni life was frowned upon. Unlike now where apprenticeships, gap years, volunteering and travelling are all thrown on the table with big open arms. For me to…

THE STYLE EDITION: BREAKING THE FASHION RULES

Feeling the effects of Christmas, slipping into a cheese coma and rocking a post festivities gut, I have to say, lead me to loose a little of that spark when throwing on clothes this start of January. Forgive me PT, for I have sinned. Cheese, wine, cake, more cheese, prosecco and more wine. I indulged and my body, well it didn’t exactly thank me for it. Having a Regina George ‘sweatpants are the only thing that fit me right now’ moment, had me in a little what do i wear despair. My favourite skinny jeans were understandably a no-go zone! What was a girl to do?! Furiously…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: FIVE REALISTIC RESOLUTIONS

The clue is in the title! I’m going for realistic resolutions this year. I have said before that I’m a little uneasy when it comes to resolutions, the idea that we should change ourselves doesn’t sit well with me. I prefer the words; grow, develop, progress, learn. I recently made an ode to appreciating small gestures in 2018, which if you haven’t already read then you can do here and it ties in quite nicely with this follow up post. Life is fucking tough sometimes. So, I’m stripping it back for this one, leaving out the usual witty one liners and getting stuck straight into the resolutions,…
