THE STYLE EDITION: ANTI-DRESS PARTY SEASON OUTFITS

I’ve never really been a fan of dresses, let alone party dresses. Truthfully, they’re not to my personal taste and not really suited to my body shape. I so desperately envy ms legs eleven who can sport a gorgeous mini dress and of course, why shouldn’t she! I’m not comfortable with labels, the thought that you should be one or the other when it comes to style. For the sake of making this blog post easier, if someone held a fashion gun to my head and forced me to categorise myself, I’d be forced to claim that my style was a mix of indie and edgy, if…

THE STYLE EDITION: THE AFFORDABLE BLAZER BANDWAGON

Every blogger and her bestie have jumped on the blazer bandwagon (too many b’s to get your chops around there). Not overly comfortable, as you all know, with following the crowd too quickly I must admit I have to give into this trend myself. I’m really enjoying throwing a blazer over a casual look. Paired with jumpers and converse, this is something I can seriously get on board with. I spied a rather affordable little number the other day. Always on the hunt for a bargain I was rather chuffed with this one! I’ve been a little in awe of the style gems I’ve been picking up…

THE STYLE EDITION: FINDING OUTFIT INSPIRATION IN UNLIKELY PLACES

When it comes to putting an outfit together for the day ahead whether that be for a style shoot, a family occasion or simply a coffee catch-up, I sometimes find mulling through the wardrobe can be somewhat of a tiresome process. Even if there is plenty to pick from, old and new combined, the idea of putting together a tip to toe #ootd can be quite a  daunting process if you are lacking some serious style inspiration. I spoke recently about affordable style and revamping pieces that have been hanging in the wardrobe for season after season, falling in love with your threads all over again is…

THE STYLE EDITION: WORKPLACE FAIL SAFES

Looking ‘the part’, so to speak, within the workplace is something that I have never had to give a second thought to. I’m very fortunate that working within a creative role, my look speaks for itself. My self-labelled marmite fluffy Gucci inspired mules, an array of slogan t-shirts (some with obscene language) and garish orange eye-shadow have all made an appearance without a second glance. Everyone just assumes it goes with the territory. Being the ‘social media girl’ means I can rock pretty much whatever I like. Having enjoyed this luxury for almost two years, this is now all about to change. In a few weeks time I…

THE STYLE EDITION: DRESSING FOR YOUR MOOD

Warning *expect moodiness* Lads, I suggest you steer clear of this post. A little warning, it’s cranky AF. All thanks to a girls best frenemy, Mother Nature, I woke up this weekend just passed feeling like utter shit. I was tired, all-round moody, spotty, feeling like I wanted to cry at every given moment and best of all, much to my personal trainers despair, I was craving chocolate cake for breakfast. Dressing for your mood is one of the most important things to get right, it’s a fast forward to starting your day on the right side of the bed. Getting it wrong is not an option. Feeling…
