THE STYLE EDITION: BUYING VINTAGE, WHAT THAT MEANS TO ME AND WHY I’M A SUCKER FOR IT

From the age of about 14-18 my mum would take me to Camden for my birthday. It became a tradition to us. I would rummage the market for vintage clothes. Back then, ten years ago (bloody hell) I would pretty much dress tip to toe in vintage and all kinds of pieces from the local charity shop. A group of former friends and I would hop on a bus to Bedford, which at the time had the best vintage finds! We would fill carrier bag after carrier bag. I would pick up all sorts; over-sized floral dresses (and then chop them up at home) pair them with…

THE STYLE EDITION: BERLIN FASHION DIARIES

Have you seen that meme that reads; ‘Anyone else always bring about 3 times as many knickers as they need when they’re going away somewhere like oh just in case I piss myself every single day of this trip’.. well, that’s me! Packing is not my forte. When the guys booked the flight, the confirmation came over as hand luggage and I freaked. I was like er nope, never, no way, can’t do it. My suitcase was in fact so big it didn’t even fit into the boot of my car (basic bitch Fiat 500) so I had to put all of the back seats down. I’m fully…

THE STYLE EDITION: DRESSING FOR YOU AND ONLY YOU

The temptation to pick up THAT white striped knitted jumper from New Look is real. It’s cute, affordable and right on trend. I’ve seen it floating around Instagram, well actually, to be truthful it’s made an appearance on pretty much every bloggers feed. There’s something quite amazing about the powers of social media, the way it can circulate a product so quickly, put it smack bam into the social limelight and start a viral trend. Seems this New Look jumper is flavour of the month! Do I , don’t I? Alas, there’s something stopping me from jumping on this bandwagon. So, whats the problem? Without any intention of…

THE STYLE EDITION: BREAKING THE FASHION RULES

Feeling the effects of Christmas, slipping into a cheese coma and rocking a post festivities gut, I have to say, lead me to loose a little of that spark when throwing on clothes this start of January. Forgive me PT, for I have sinned. Cheese, wine, cake, more cheese, prosecco and more wine. I indulged and my body, well it didn’t exactly thank me for it. Having a Regina George ‘sweatpants are the only thing that fit me right now’ moment, had me in a little what do i wear despair. My favourite skinny jeans were understandably a no-go zone! What was a girl to do?! Furiously…

THE STYLE EDITION: ANTI-DRESS PARTY SEASON OUTFITS

I’ve never really been a fan of dresses, let alone party dresses. Truthfully, they’re not to my personal taste and not really suited to my body shape. I so desperately envy ms legs eleven who can sport a gorgeous mini dress and of course, why shouldn’t she! I’m not comfortable with labels, the thought that you should be one or the other when it comes to style. For the sake of making this blog post easier, if someone held a fashion gun to my head and forced me to categorise myself, I’d be forced to claim that my style was a mix of indie and edgy, if…
