THE STYLE EDITION: A SPRING WARDROBE UPDATE

It’s funny to title this as a spring update, at the very beginning of March but hey, this little sprinkling of sunshine has given us all some strong spring vibes, right? (plus that means we’re closer to Easter egg season). I ordered my first iced latte the other weekend and it definitely ‘hit the spot’. It made me crave getting into the swing of summer. So much so, I decided to plan a whole weekend stay in Bath with my boyfriend in a few months time. Sunshine just does great things, doesn’t it? With that said, I popped into Primark for a little fashion refresh. It feels…

THE STYLE EDITION: SNEAKY SNAKE PRINT AND WHY I COULDN’T AVOID IT

Like a moth to a flame, it was truly meant to be. Avoiding faux snake print was like cutting out carbs. A lot of initial will power but always gives in. With every style focused hashtag on Instagram championing this strong style trend, it would have been almost a crime not to join in. Admittedly, I have always gone against this kind of advice. Against the grain is my main fashion motto. But, when I found a piece that I could take from casual and cool to office bad ass, it made the decision a whole load easier. . I’m a little rusty with my style posts,…

THE STYLE EDITION: 2018 FASHION TRENDS I DIDN’T THINK I WOULD LOVE

I’ve been wanting to put together a big ol’ hefty style post for a while. When I read topic blog posts on style and fashion, I like a lot of substance to them. Not just a simple declaration of ‘I really liked this jumper’. Boring. I want 1000 plus words, a whole bunch of photos, personality and lots of inspiration. Give me all the chit chat. So I had the idea of combining all of my 2018 style thoughts into one post. Experimenting with style trends is something I dabbled in towards the end of 2018. Trends that I thought would never ever suit me, not in a million years.…

Back then, ten years ago (bloody hell) I would pretty much dress tip to toe in vintage and all kinds of pieces from the local charity shop. A group of former friends and I would hop on a bus to Bedford, which at the time had the best vintage finds! We would fill carrier bag after carrier bag. I would pick up all sorts; over-sized floral dresses (and then chop them up at home) pair them with…

THE STYLE EDITION: BERLIN FASHION DIARIES

Have you seen that meme that reads; ‘Anyone else always bring about 3 times as many knickers as they need when they’re going away somewhere like oh just in case I piss myself every single day of this trip’.. well, that’s me! Packing is not my forte. When the guys booked the flight, the confirmation came over as hand luggage and I freaked. I was like er nope, never, no way, can’t do it. My suitcase was in fact so big it didn’t even fit into the boot of my car (basic bitch Fiat 500) so I had to put all of the back seats down. I’m fully…
