THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: BODY CONFIDENCE AND WHY ITS EASIER SAID THAN DONE

Although I have always very much wanted to, I have put off writing about this topic for a while. I think it’s important that I get my points across in the right way, especially with it being such a sensitive subject. I think it’s very easy (and not at all right) to simply say fuck what anyone thinks, be comfortable in your own skin, be you, do you. Whilst that’s the ideal scenario, it’s just not realistic. There is so much more to body confidence than just shape and size, it’s skin, hair, wardrobe, mental health and more. The one thing I can say for sure is…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: LET’S CATCH UP ON THE YEAR SO FAR

The year has started off better than I could have ever hoped for. I even stated in a recent Instagram upload that 2018 is kickin’ 2017’s butt. It’s true. Something changed for me this year. I’ve relaxed, I’m not sweating the small stuff and with that said, I’m enjoying much more. I’m dating, I’m booking trips away with friends, I’m pushing myself at work, I’m going to gigs again, I’m doing me and being exactly who I want to be. To be frank, I’m feeling fucking fantastic. I’ve had moments already this year where I have truely thought, I have never been this happy. Not wanting to…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: WANDERLUST AND WHY IT DOESN’T APPEAL TO ME

Someone recently said to me if you stay in the same place you’ll never grow. Whilst attempting to be as open minded as I could with that, I couldn’t help but feel offended (and boy, did they know it). I tried not to overreact, I promise! It bugged me so much. What a naive thing to say. What’s so wrong in loving where you have lived your whole life? It’s not like I don’t leave the house, go on holidays or live my life to the full. I just choose to build my life where I feel comfortable, in a place that I know and love that…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: THE UNI CHAT

There are some ‘what if’ moments in life that I seem unable to shrug off more than others. What if I went to uni? This question lurks in the back of my mind more often than not. Unfortunately, it’s just one of those questions that I won’t ever have closure for. I don’t know the answers, the outcome, how it would have changed my life, if at all. Ten years ago a decision not to take that big ol’ plunge into uni life was frowned upon. Unlike now where apprenticeships, gap years, volunteering and travelling are all thrown on the table with big open arms. For me to…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: FIVE REALISTIC RESOLUTIONS

The clue is in the title! I’m going for realistic resolutions this year. I have said before that I’m a little uneasy when it comes to resolutions, the idea that we should change ourselves doesn’t sit well with me. I prefer the words; grow, develop, progress, learn. I recently made an ode to appreciating small gestures in 2018, which if you haven’t already read then you can do here and it ties in quite nicely with this follow up post. Life is fucking tough sometimes. So, I’m stripping it back for this one, leaving out the usual witty one liners and getting stuck straight into the resolutions,…
