THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: MARCH GOALS & A CATCH UP

Well, it feels like it has been a roller coaster few weeks, even months I would say. I really haven’t had much stability or routine and I think a lot of the decisions I have been making have been pretty big ones. It has felt a little daunting and that comes with it’s stresses, emotionally and financially. For me, March finally brings that light I have been waiting for at the end of the tunnel. I’m finally started to feel settled and assured in the decisions I have been making. January through to February always feels a little ‘meh’ anyway. Low moods after Christmas. You kind of…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: NAVIGATING GRIEF

‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go’.   It was really hard to title this post. Yes, it’s about grief and how we deal with that. Maybe I’ll treat the time like I’m an actual full time blogger?…

If you survived January alcohol free, then get yourself a strong gin and tonic immediately. I salute you!   To be honest, I spent most of January hibernating, trying not to spend money that I didn’t have. I put myself on a ‘buying clothes’ ban, which was really easy to do when hoodies became the appropriate choice of clothing, especially towards the end of the month with snow deciding to make its magical appearance! A few country walks were had, a lot of coffee was consumed, and…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: MY FAVOURITE AND FONDEST READS

Here we are. Blue Monday. Are you battling with it today? Whether you’re at home, at work, at a desk, or even on holiday (lucky you) then remind yourself that you’re allowed five minutes, even ten, take a whole hour, fuck it take the day to reset and get those batteries charged for the rest of January. I need to take my own advice on this one. Fueled by a dreaded cold, I am looking forward to some down time this evening. Not just grey skies outside but there are a few clouds clogging up my mind too. We all have these days, we are allowed to…
