THE FOOD EDITION: A SHOUT-OUT TO THE BEST BRUNCH IN TOWN

Being vegetarian can make brunches a little bit lacklustre to say the least and I’ve found that a Saturday search in something a little more than avo on toast can be a challenge. Don’t get me wrong, avocado on toast is something that thankfully my taste buds give a big thumbs up to, it’s made its appearance on the ‘gram many times but it doesn’t always hit the spot. Contrary to popular belief, us veggies still work up a sizable appetite and I have to say that a few slices of avocado could pass as a measly snack. Picture this; it’s the weekend and I’m hungover… wait…

THE FOOD EDITION: FAVOURITE FOODIE SPOTS IN LONDON

As cliché as it sounds, not only does a spot on Sunday brunching make my Instagram feed happy, it makes me (and my belly) happy too! There’s nothing quite like a big plate of avocado on toast washed down with a lovely latte to set you up for a whole heap of Sunday funday. Working in London I do find myself in some fabulous foodie spots good enough to rave about. Good food paired with great coffee and laced with a dose of dreamy interior and you’ve got me whipping out my camera ready to capture that perfect picture. Of course, if it makes it onto the ol’ Instagram grid then it’s…

THE FOOD EDITION: BREAKFAST AT THE OFFICE DESK

As much as I would love to scoff down Instagram worthy avocado and eggs every morning for breakfast, with an early morning commute to London in the car to contend with, it’s just not possible. This obviously upsets me greatly but alas, I’ll leave beautifully buttered sourdough bread for a weekend treat. Once to I do eventually arrive at my desk, it’s fair to say I’m usually starving. I need a quick but hearty breakfast, all washed down with my morning caffeine fix, of course. I’ve put together some of my favourite ‘at the desk’ breakfast ideas! Smashed Avocado: If you really can’t get avocados off the brain (I struggle…

The Food Edition: Brunch at Boulestin Mayfair, London

If you ever find yourself in the South West part of London in need of a brunch fix, I’ve got just the place! I stumbled across Boulestin whilst hurrying myself around town in between meetings and events. I had a serious case of ‘hangry’ and no-one was standing in my way! I saw two gentleman sitting outside with cups of coffee and I was sold, a caffeine fix was something I was seriously craving by this point. I think it’s fair to say that front of house could sense my hurried approach and kindly offered me a seat outside, I passed some rather stylish marble dining tables inside and although…

The Food Edition: No 197 Chiswick Fire Station

Chiswick is very much my main stomping ground at the moment, I seem to be heading in that direction for work, meetings and cheeky coffee catch ups more than I can count. Now, I’m not complaining at all and with the likes of Gail’s Artisan Bakery and The Hothouse Bistro mimicking an air of Parisian café culture, I wholeheartedly approve of this location! On Monday I took a little stroll down the familiar high street and as much as I wanted to peruse the rows of pretty window displays I had to give it a miss as I was in a hurry to get to a lunch…
