THE BEAUTY EDITION: PINK TO MAKE THE BOYS WINK

‘Choose to shine’ I step out of my style comfort zone about twice a year. When it comes to day-today dressing I’m your average t-shirt, jeans, eyeliner flick and red lip kinda gal. Nothing more, nothing less. Throw in a pair of trainers and I’m ready start my day. It’s easy and it works! Stepping out of the familiar stemmed from a little attention I received from a rather vibrant orange number which you can have a peek at on the ol’ gram here. I recently had an occasion to get all dolled up so I decided to take it. I was off to the dance the night away to childhood favourite Kate…

THE BEAUTY EDITION: HELPFUL TIPS FOR SHORTER HAIRSTYLES

Going for the chop was one of the best decisions I’ve made this year. Initially, I had that awful fear that shorter hair wasn’t seen as ‘girly’ or ‘pretty’ but I was so wrong. Skipping out of the salon with a head full of the cutest, bounciest curls I realised that a shorter hair style added some serious volume that I was so desperately lacking! Not only did a new haircut welcome a few compliments from friends and family, it gave me a much needed confidence boost, I felt instantly ‘cooler’, my outfits had a new lease of life and ultimately all that slapped a smile right across my face!…

THE BEAUTY EDITION: SPRING SKIN

Fishtail hair braids, sexy lace bralets, double denim and a whole heap of highlighter. Coachella has given me some serious social media envy! Dressed to kill and flauntin’ it on Insta stories, everyone looked FAB! So, Coachella style is a little out there for the ‘real world’ (rocking up to work with a face full of glitter might not be the best move) but it’s been inspiring me to dabble in a little spring skin. I was kindly sent a little Laura Geller package a couple of weeks ago and with a four day bank holiday weekend having just passed I thought I’d give the products a whirl. I’m already…

THE BEAUTY EDITION: SKINCARE REVIEW / NEALS YARD FT. DELICIOUSLY ELLA DUO

Beauty posts have taken a back seat on my blog lately, for the main reason that when it comes to my skincare routine, not a lot changes. When I get cosmetics sent to me to try out, especially skincare, I’m always a little hesitant to slap the stuff across my chops. I have very sensitive skin, prone to redness and break-outs and with this being the case I seek skincare soothers from trustworthy and normally expensive brands like Elemis, Oskia and Clarins. If I am trying out new products on my skin, it takes a little while to get used to them. This is not to say that I’m not open…
