THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: MONTH IN CAMERA ROLL

It’s time for a little catch-up, in the form of my monthly camera roll post. I love doing these, candid little snapshots stored on my phone to remind me of what I’ve been up to lately. What have I been up to, you ask? March was lovely actually, you’ll know that a London staycation was a real highlight for me, and I popped up a hotel review here. I’ve been getting to grips with a new job which is always exciting and daunting at once. Luckily for me, it’s closer to home and so my commute has been slashed. Welcoming work/life balance again, something I was starting…

THE TRAVEL EDITION: THE HALF MOON PUB OF DREAMS, LONDON

You know those moments in life that happen and you just think, am I dreaming? We’ve all been there. A little unexpected but greatly appreciated pinch of goodness. The world rewarding you with some sort of ‘pay it forward’ scheme. We need more of this. This happened recently on a trip to London for a hotel stay at The Half Moon Pub with my boyfriend. It was a Christmas/Birthday treat in one. Dinner, drinks, a gig and a fancy pants hotel. My favourite kind of trip, to be honest. The hotel was incredibly fancy pants actually. A little boutique spot in Herne Hill. Of course, I had…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: MARCH GOALS & A CATCH UP

Well, it feels like it has been a roller coaster few weeks, even months I would say. I really haven’t had much stability or routine and I think a lot of the decisions I have been making have been pretty big ones. It has felt a little daunting and that comes with it’s stresses, emotionally and financially. For me, March finally brings that light I have been waiting for at the end of the tunnel. I’m finally started to feel settled and assured in the decisions I have been making. January through to February always feels a little ‘meh’ anyway. Low moods after Christmas. You kind of…

THE LIFESTYLE EDITION: NAVIGATING GRIEF

‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but cannot. All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go’.   It was really hard to title this post. Yes, it’s about grief and how we deal with that. I say navigate because calling this something like ‘a way out of grief’ just sounds so wrong. There is no way out. It sticks to you like glue. It never really goes away, ever. I decided…

THE STYLE EDITION: A SPRING WARDROBE UPDATE

It’s funny to title this as a spring update, at the very beginning of March but hey, this little sprinkling of sunshine has given us all some strong spring vibes, right? (plus that means we’re closer to Easter egg season). I ordered my first iced latte the other weekend and it definitely ‘hit the spot’. It made me crave getting into the swing of summer. So much so, I decided to plan a whole weekend stay in Bath with my boyfriend in a few months time. Sunshine just does great things, doesn’t it? With that said, I popped into Primark for a little fashion refresh. It feels…
