Back for a second installment of my Spotlight Brand Of The Month feature. Last month I dedicated the title to a skincare brand but today we are talking make-up. Something that I love love love. I have said many times on here that when it comes to make-up I already know what I love and don’t tend to steer away from that too much anymore. Teen days of experimenting are thankfully over. It’s for the best. So, when I do discover something new, it really is deserved.
A couple of months back I was sent the most ‘me’ PR package. A whole set of liquid liners from 3INA. A brand at the time I had never heard of but surely grown to love. I’ve put a winged liner look on the back foot for weekends only so I loved road-testing them each weekend for a whole new rock chick kinda look. My fave, in all honesty! So when 3INA followed up with a festive package I was dying to give the goodies a go. Destination Dance collection is a mix of highlighters, eye shadows and lipsticks. The package came in the nick of time for all of my December plans. In general, I was ready to embrace a whole load of festive glitter that I was more than ready and willing to slather over my face. Has to be done. I created a dark and moody wedding look in December with Glide n Shine Silver Pop. If you fancy a nose, a very rare selfie can be found on the gram here.
These products definitely pack a make-up punch. I think my favourite product has to be the highlighter. Dance Potion, I mean is there a better name for a highlighter?! Described to keep you cool ’til the sun comes up! Not so much for me these days, now that I’m getting old, I’d probably rephrase with ‘keeping you cool ’til the kettle goes on’. What I love about these products is that they are really build-able so I can dial up or down depending on the look I want to create. Something that suits me best, because this can be one or the other on any given day. Rags to riches so to speak. The lasting power is definitely there too, which for me is probably the most important factor to make-up. There’s nothing worse than a 5pm trip to the loo only to find that your face from the day has disappeared. Nightmare! Especially when it’s an impromptu desk to drinks kind of day (something that became a regular occurrence as of late).
I can’t wait for another occasion to create a Glide n Shine eye shadow look. I’m actually off to a gig in March, so stay tuned for a little somethin’ somethin’ no doubt to make it’s presence onto the gram. The bold blue colour is calling my name! Plus, I can put my ultimate trust in the lasting power, it’s such a relief knowing that your look will last a night of dancing and beer drinking. And, as 3INA says; ‘bring on the night’.
