Well, it’s been a little while since I put one of these posts together..
I thought I would give you the low down, it’s time for a little life update and I have lots to share with you.
Firstly, the obvious to address is the ol’ hair situation. I recently showed off my new-do on Instagram. Yes, I went for the chop. I have been digging this sassy short haired trend for a while now. To be honest I was growing out my hair and although it was at it’s longest it had been in a while, I just wasn’t feeling it. Flat, lifeless and actually, just not very me. The minute I saw the finished look, sat in the chair of my favourite hairdressers, I felt so relieved. I’ve never been all that sentimental when it comes to my hair but I do feel a little out of sorts if we’re not having a ‘friends’ kind of day. I’m so happy I took the plunge, I feel more confident, I received a tonne of lovely compliments and to make things better my overall look has automatically got a new lease of life. Paired with my shorter locks, all of my clothes look instantly new and fresh. Although, I must admit that hasn’t stopped me from doing a little bit of shopping lately, I just couldn’t help myself! As mentioned in my previous style post, I’ve been surrendering to time-saving styling in the form of casual throw on t-shirts. My latest addition is this highly appropriate slogan ‘Snap Queen’ tee. I picked this up from H&M, which by the way is my current favourite go-to shop for clothes. So much so, I went twice in one week!
I want to end this blog post on a super positive note. With that in mind and with International Women’s Day having passed this month, I wanted to give a shout out to my gorgeous, motivated female friends. I’m surrounded by some seriously strong-willed, sassy gals! One of my lovely ladies has recently set up a creative content and influencer agency. If you’re reading this post as a fellow blogger, pop on over to the Instagram of Pretty Little Media and give it a follow, it’s got a gorgeously girly theme going on. Click here for a sneak peek!
