Alright, time for a confession, I’ll admit that I’ve been totally slack over the Christmas period when it comes to blogging. Do I feel guilty? Um, not so much! *gasps*
I’ve been doing lots of lovely Christmas themed things behind the scenes of my blog but for once I’ve given myself the time to enjoy them without having to frantically document every single moment and honestly, it’s been a dream. I’ve been a little more active on Snapchat so you may have seen my rather festive trip to Somerset House where I skated the night away on the ice but luckily for you all I did collect some other blog worth content at a recent late-night shopping event. When it comes to buying presents, there are a couple of shops that I head straight to, especially if I’m looking for that oh so beautiful gift. So, when West Elm put on a cocktail fueled shopping night, I charged straight down there with credit card in hand!
Before setting my mission of the all important gift hunt, I usually take a moment to just take in the beauty that is on the shop floor and even more so at Christmas time. Shelves are laden with treasures, I honestly didn’t even know where to begin. Naturally, I made cocktails first on my agenda! After a little shopping dutch courage (not that it was needed) I started my search for Christmas presents. With no surprise, I wanted EVERYTHING in sight. A gift for you, a gift for me… I fell in love with so many things. From gorgeous gold trim coasters to pretty little slogan plates, fresh greenery with matching plant pots and everything in between, the choice was truly endless.
Whilst shopping was a high priority, I was distracted by a few pop up stations within the shop. First being the gift wrapping station run by the clever creators at Etsy and an absolutely stunning Bloom and Wild wreath making table – this one was a real treat for the eyes! Honestly, the whole event was a bloggers and shoppers dream. To top it all off, the lovely Kate La Vie was on hand to give her home interior tips and tricks, I even managed to grab a little chat with the lovely lady herself.
BEST FESTIVE NIGHT EVER? Yep, pretty much!
