What’s Christmas without a little Lush haul?
Yep I said it.. Christmas. I know it’s still November, but for me, once my Birthday is over it’s straight onto Christmas. You either love it or you don’t and I’m proud to say I do. Last year I wasn’t able to embrace the festivities as much as I wanted to as I moved house on December 18th so naturally, everything was pretty damn manic. This year I’m making up for loss time and I’m welcoming fairy lights, mulled wine and of course, sickly sweet bubble baths with open arms.
I’ve been to Lush twice in two weeks, each time promising myself not to buy ‘too much’ and of course, failing both times. Being a self-confessed Lush obsessive for over a few years now, there is something nostalgic about the Christmas range, starting with the ever so popular annual exclusive.. Snow Fairy. I’ll forever buy the shower gel for as long as they make it, the scent is just incredible. If you haven’t tried it (where have you been?!) it’s a pick n mix treat for the senses, it lathers up beautifully and more importantly, it lingers on the skin. A word of warning, it is VERY sweet although this is something that I’m fond of as I’ve got used to it over the years and it’s simply become a Christmas tradition for me. When it comes to that Christmas morning shower, I just have to reach for Snow Fairy.
Much like the shower gel, Lush have used the classic Snow Fairy scent in a gorgeous re-usable bubble bar. Introducing Magic Wand, another Christmas feature, this also comes out to play each year. This is certainly an eye catcher and it makes for a beautiful gift, everyone has that one bubble bath addict that they need to buy for. Personally, I prefer to keep this one to myself!
Amongst all of my favourites, I also picked up something new. Clearly I was in a rather girly mood as this one was also pink. Never Mind The Ballistics is a half neon pink, half yellow bath bomb and again, on the sweeter side of scents. Packed with lime and sweet wild orange oils, I’m expecting this to be fresh and zingy. I’m yet to throw this one into the tub but keep your eye out on my Instagram and I’ll let you know what I think.
When it comes to Lush products, I find it very hard to put anything aside for gifts but I have hidden a few bath bombs away for family and friends. I picked up Father Christmas (basically Santa’s face stamped into a bath bomb) and So White which is a beautiful apple scented all white bath bomb.
