The Blogtober Edition: A/W Trends

We get a tonne of magazines sent to the office on a regular basis, i’m totally spoilt for choice when it comes to a spot of lunch time reading, combined with a mid morning coffee of course. It also means that I have no excuse to get savvy when it comes to keeping up to date with all the seasonal trends. I’ve been flicking through a HUGE Grazia magazine this weekend, it’s their ‘Big Fashion Issue’, it’s got a half naked lady on the front so you can’t really miss it! There’s a whole heap of tip to toe looks to cover, so I’ll get started.

Ginger jokes are out! Orange hair is the hot trend for A/W and I’m talking bold, peachy vibes. A couple of years ago I had my hair coloured at Bleach London, and I took the plunge and went for a super bright orange do. Turns out I was a year or so too early because this hair trend it set to soar this Autumn!

There’s a perfume out on the market and everyone’s raving about it. Bloom At Night by Alexander McQueen hits departments stores and is labelled as ‘beyond sexy’ by InStyle magazine, it’s tipped to be a top seller this season. Although be warned, it ain’t cheap!

Not a lot has changed this year, the usual Autumnal copper eyeshadow and burgundy lip combo still stands, so be sure to hold onto that Charlotte Tilbury lipstick!

Onto the exciting part, oh and there’s so much to cover.. where to start?! Right, comfy is in. Think back to when you were a kid rocking Adidas popper joggers, yup you heard it, they’re back and so is the 90’s puffa jacket. Don’t worry there’s more wearable trends to come if you’re not keen on that kind of throwback. Leopard print continues to stick it out for Autumn and alongside it another bold pattern which comes in the form of a new style trend ‘Granny’s Attic’. This new fashion craze is basically a mash up of florals, satin and jacquard, it’s been plastered all over the catwalks during London fashion week. If this is a little too ‘out there’ for you, then don’t panic as khaki, camo and military are all very much still in for the colder months ahead.

Chokers are here to stay and I’m so happy about this. Although, they’ve gone next level! The shoe lace style is out and chunky velvet chokers are in. Look out for lace too!

What’s your favourite fashion trend of A/W?
