Last week was one of those weird weather weeks, especially transitioning from September to October. I had a few ‘I have nothing to wear’ days, my wardrobe is definitely lacking a few Autumn basics. I’m really into Olive Clothing at the moment, I always seem to turn my attention to their Instagram and they have some super adorable embroidery stitched jumpers. A small order just may be on the cards..
With things taking a turn weather wise I got my hands on some new skincare, I personally think it’s important to change your routine with the seasons and Autumn always need something a little more forgiving. I’ve always been a fan of Caudalie and I love everything that they stand for. So when they bought out a new serum, I was game! My friend and beauty blogger Tiffany Tales passed onto me the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum which is designed to improve the appearance of pigmentation, dark spots and to even out the skin tone which all sounded totally ideal to me. When you hear serum you think rich, thick and luxurious.. right? I had high hopes for this product and unfortunately I just wasn’t keen. Firstly the texture was so thin and watery, once applied to the skin it just disappeared and I was left feeling like it didn’t really do much at all. Sadly for me, it just didn’t deliver, or live up to it’s expectations.
Luckily, there are a few trusty favourites that I know I adore time after time. Now that October has come around I’m looking forward to switching things up on the make-up front. I find that in the Summer less is always more but when Autumn swings around I like to layer on the eyeshadow and rock a bold lip. Charlotte Tilbury wins the show for me when it comes to perfecting that pout, her matte revolution lipsticks are daring, long lasting formula wise and simply gorgeous. I’m also using my bargain eyeshadow palette daily, there seems to be a shade for every occasion whether that’s a night on the tiles or just a day in the office. I blogged about this in my recent eBay haul which you can recap on here.
Lastly, my week ended on a complete high. I very proudly completed my Dryathalon challenge and raised £100 for charity, and double celebrations commenced when I was offered a new role at work of digital marketing executive. It was nice to end my week with a much needed clink!
