I think it’s fair to say that most of us are in mourning at the passing of Summer, it seems as soon as September arrived it bought the rain along with it. This past weekend has been pretty abysmal weather wise and even my Instagram feed has taken a turn, opting for more moody hues. With that being said, there are some positives to the change of season and in true Autumnal style, I treated myself to my first pumpkin spiced latte of the year. Coffee selection out of the way, it’s time to get to grips with the new collections that welcome us with their presence. A/W is like music to my ears, in my opinion it’s the most exciting out of the lot and best of all, always screams ‘launch party’.
I recently attended the launch party of the new collection from Leighton Denny Expert Nails which was held at the very fancy Nail Loft on Harrods rooftop in London. Cocktails and canapés upon entrance, I knew instantly that this was going to be a rather elegant affair. Recognised for their class, I was interested to see the collection and have a peek at the colour choices for the season ahead. The Roaring 20s collection is unlike anything I have seen before, these colours were made to wow and honestly that’s exactly what they did. With the theme in mind, think all things glitz and glam.
Although I was instantly sold by the classic red, nude and grey from the collection it was the bold colours that had me at hello! You seem to get the best of both words, a collection to take you through the normal working day, right through to a night on the tiles. I love how they have added in a glitter to the mix, I feel that this is the perfect way to shake things up when it comes to a manicure, simply apply to an accent nail for something a little different. As always I have a clear favourite from the bunch and although I convinced myself it would be the red, I can’t deny that it was love at first sight when I laid my eyes on that rather mermaid-like green. ‘Crazy Times’ stands out from the crowd, and with Vogue revealing that ‘camo’ is going to be a hot trend for A/W16 this is the perfect colour to add a touch of style to your seasonal appearance.
I definitely think there is a shade to suit all within this brand new collection and with the very affordable price tag of £12.00 a pop, I would be tempted to grab a few! Available to buy direct from their website here.
