Another beauty post I hear you cry.. I’m spoiling you aren’t I?
To me, a skincare routine in Spring/Summer is just as important as throughout the Winter. Winter is harsh but so can our little friend the Sun be and not only that, a sweltering face is no fun for make up application. It’s no wonder I’m amping up the beauty content, working for some fantastic brands has really ignited my passion for it all. Obviously it may sound like I’m biased but I have been using James Read Tan way before I started working for the brand itself, if you check back to Christmas I was raving about it then. Sleep Mask Tan Face from the Overnight range has found a new spot on my bedside table, this stuff is seriously good! You cannot go wrong with this, I use it a couple of nights in a row to build up a lovely tint.. at the moment I’m still in long sleeved tops so I can get away with just a cheeky face application! It’s the ideal product to incorporate into your bedtime skincare routine if you’re seeking a flush of colour to the face without compromising on nourishment.
When it comes to cleansing, sometimes I want something super luxurious especially if I’m treating myself to a Sunday night double cleanse. Elemis is a brand that absolutely nails it every time, okay yes it’s pricey but you pay for quality and you are rewarded with incredible results. At the moment I’m hooked on the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, it’s beautiful, glides onto the skin like silk. This is an ideal Spring product as the thick waxes dissolve away any build up, I’m talking sweaty, clogged up daily grime. This one is a real treat but might I add lasts and lasts – I swear this tub is nowhere near empty!
Facial mists are the hot beauty pick right now and I can see why, it’s so important to keep the skin hydrated, plus in addition they add a lovely subtle glow. I’m currently obsessing over one from Jurlique, Rosewater Balancing Mist smells divine and I’ve been spritzing this on my face after a good cleanse.
My final skin care must.. you guessed it, a tinted moisturiser! I don’t feel comfortable going for the caked-look in the warmer months (I’m all for it on a night out with the girlies) I tend to avoid any heavy products on the skin and for me, a full coverage foundation is just not ideal. Caudalie are finding their feet within the beauty world and I think they do skincare so well, I have been using the Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturiser on and off and when I do go back to it I’m always impressed all over again. I tend to just apply this with my fingers as the formula is super light, it has a surprisingly generous coverage but most of all I just feel like I’m wearing nothing!
I’ve got my Spring skincare essentials sorted, just a little SPF and some much lusted marble detailed Quay Australia Sunglasses I’m ready for some British Summer sun.. or lack of it, knowing our Country!
