Pinch punch the first of the month… okay not quite but welcome 2016! I genuinely don’t understand how the last year has gone by so quickly, I blinked and here we are. I thought it only appropriate to do a favourites of the  entire year and reminisce over some much loved products from beauty, of course, and newly home items. I have to say this post is an easy one for me as there are three clear front runners for beauty brands along with some of their products that I have been completely obsessed with from the likes of Lush (a dedicated fan since I can remember), Charlotte Tilbury and James Read.

There has been one stand out product from Lush for me this year and it’s one that I picked up in the summer on one of my many trips to the newly opened Oxford Street store – which in itself should be named as favourite of mine, favourite place ever! Best known for beautiful bath bombs, which I’m a self confessed hoarder of, Lush also has a rather large skin care range and I have been more drawn to that side of things this year. Cup O’ Coffee is an incredible face mask, from a glorious scent to amazing results just everything about this ticks all boxes for me and its now an absolute necessary in my Sunday night pamper session.

I will confess and say that I was rather late to the Charlotte Tilbury scene and it’s something I’m making up for! I have raved about a fair few of her products over here on my blog and I just can’t be without the incredible Matte Revolution lipsticks. Everything is so damn gorgeous, the rose gold packaging makes for perfect instagram snaps – a beauty bloggers dream! I’m hoping to increase my brush collection this year but my ultimate go to right now is the Powder & Sculpt brush, just the perfect shape for highlighting and bronzing – every contour obsessive needs this brush.

Thanks to my mum being a complete QVC addict James Read was a brand that I was already aware of and when I was kindly asked if I wanted to sample a few things earlier on in the year I jumped at the chance! Impressed by the notion of skincare paired with tanning, I waved goodbye to past tango disasters and welcomed an all year glow.

Homeware has taken a front seat when it comes to my more recent spending spree adventures. I recently discovered Home Sense and oh-my-goodness I want to spend every weekend here now. Que visions of me running around like a scene from Supermarket Sweep! In all seriousness I picked up so many gorgeous things for my new home for a fraction of what I would spend in certain department stores. You have to rummage a bit in certain parts of the store but in general everything seems so on trend, my only advice… don’t think a trip in your friends Mini is a good idea – oopsie!

2015 was a test run for me over here on editionemmagrace, I’m hoping to discover some more lovely products and brands this year and share them with you wonderful lot so stay tuned.

How lovely of you to drop by!
