The Lifestyle Edition: Christmas Gift Wrap

With the run up to Christmas fast approaching i have unveiled my Christmas box of goodies… no i don’t mean chocolate, i’m talking all things gift wrap! I am completely and utterly obsessed with making each and every present look gorgeously wrapped, i love a good theme and i adore a sprinkling of glitter. I will often set aside an afternoon one weekend and dedicate my time to having a good ol’ wrapping session, it’s also an excuse to put on Christmas films and glug on mulled wine.

I do have some odd little left overs from last year but i have also purchased some new bits in the form of gift tags etc. I have always been an advocate for the whole brown paper thing, to me it just looks homemade and i think you can really dress up plain paper. I tend to keep quite traditional with the colours, i do adore a red and green combo! I always use raffia as i find this is a lot more stronger than ribbon and it just highlights that rustic look along with the brown paper,  i like to wrap this around a couple of times with an edible candy cane encased and finished off with a little bow.

I’ll be the first to admit that i’m a bit of a snob when it comes to the creative aspect of gift decoration and i truly think the same effort should go into this as it does picking the actual present itself. There are so many places that you can pick up some lovely seasonal accessories such as Hobby Craft or surprisingly local supermarkets, Marks & Spencer always excel in this department.

I’m all set for my annual session, all that’s left is the important decision of which Christmas film to pop on alongside. I’d love to hear your ultimate favourite festive film?

How lovely of you to drop by!
