The Wishlist Edition: Winter Must Haves

winter wish list

Lipstick – Charlotte Tilbury | Stole – New Look | Coat – River Island | Playsuit – Dresslink

A/W is easily my most favoured season for fashion and beauty picks. I love the transition of light, pastel floral prints to deep burgundy hues with a pop of faux fur thrown in. Winter calls Christmas for most but also for me my Birthday so it seemed appropriate to throw together a little Winter wish list.

Lets talk beauty. I need to get my hands on another Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick, i have been pining over them all ever since my first purchase, which i couldn’t help but blog about in full, have a peek here. I currently have my eye Glastonberry which is a gorgeous berry toned shade, perfect for puckering up throughout the Autumnal months. It definitely sways more to a darker hue but i think this would pair well with my pale skin, i really like that vampy kind of look.

I’m all for the textures and materials that bombard the fashion scene in the A/W months. I adore faux fur and i think throwing on a fluffy stole is a subtle addition to any outfit, it’s a great way to experiment with the layering trend without going overboard and looking a little like Pat Butcher. Elle Magazine recently devoted an entire spread to the up and coming trend of the year; camel coats. Floor length, double-breasted, trench, shearling… i’ll have them all please! A camel coat is the easiest way to create the ultimate fall look with ease whilst looking utterly chic. Accessories have a big part to play in the world of fashion and not only because they look cute, to be honest practicality comes into play too especially when you’re craving those extra ten minutes in bed on a dark Monday morning – introducing the hat. Bobble hats are so out, witchy looking fedora hats are so in and we can thank popular t.v show American Horror Story for that.

Finally a Winter wishlist wouldn’t be complete without a spot of something a little more festive. It would be a sin not to purchase something red or burgundy for the month of December and with all the festive cheer around you can be a little more bold with the Christmas party frock. Dresslink are so on point when it comes to party wear pieces, i have spotted a gorgeous playsuit that would be perfect for a night on the tiles with an addition of a cute lace bralet peeking out from underneath (the whole underwear as outerwear is totally acceptable in the festive season). I would probaby wear this with a gilet, another faux fur clothing item that is so on trend right now, it’s a step further than the stole i mentioned earlier.

I’d love to hear about what is on your Winter wish list?
