As i mentioned in my previous post i’m all over mini products at the moment. I’m still very new to blogging and although thoroughly enjoying it i can see how costly it can be especially as it’s not full time for me, i’m just a normal girl with a day job that has an interest in beauty and make up. It’s not always ideal, or even within my budget to buy full sized products to review or try out so i have been leaning towards travel sized purchases. We have all been there before, we have all experienced that disappointment of buying something expensive and not enjoying it or perhaps being the wrong shade and unable to return it, or even just not living up to what it says it should do.
Monthly beauty boxes are a great way to try well known and new brands without the budget breaking expense. You will all know by now i’m a fan of Birchbox but there are others out there such as Glossybox, Love Me Beauty and more, so plenty to choose from. A lot of brands incorporate travel sized products within their range, another way of trying something new without the expensive tag. I’m really into Elemis, my mum uses the Soothing Apricot Toner and i always catch a whiff, it smells so fresh. Priced at £22.50 for the full sized bottle i wanted to make sure that this would work with my skin type so i scanned online and came across Time To Spa who stock a wide range of tester size products and i picked up a 50ml bottle for a purse friendly fiver! Needless to say i’m completely sold but trying out a smaller version first has given me the reassurance that the full sized bottle will be worth the spend. Look out for make up offers and free gifts in shops such as Boots and Superdrug as i recently got a box of goodies when i purchased three products from No 7, the gift box itself was worth £20.00 and it included lots of little tester samples from skincare to make up, plus if you have an advantage card you get points for shopping which eases some of the spending guilt!
I hope this post has given you some tips and i would love to know how you feel about all things ‘mini’ in the world of beauty.
