I can’t be the only one that goes into Boots for a couple of things and comes out with the whole shop? I just can’t help myself, i browse down the aisles that i wasn’t planning to and rather than dither over something i don’t need (trying harder to differentiate want and need) it just goes straight into my basket. Maybe that’s my issue, my new motto should be ‘can’t carry it, can’t have it’.
My go to foundation is the Bourjois Healthy Mix and i’m quite loyal to it, i haven’t tried a new foundation in a long time. The only snag of using that foundation is that i do have to finish with a powder as i am prone to the dreaded T-Zone shine. I have heard really good things about the L’oreal Infallible 24 hour matte finish foundation and i thought this would work well with my oily skin so i grabbed a tube. I chose the shade Porcelain, picking shades is usually easy for me as i normally just go for the lightest shade within the range. I am yet to try this out but i shall keep you posted!
I also stocked up on the No 7 precision lip liners. I could rave about these all day! I first tried the red one a long time ago now and initially used it as a liner just on the outsides of the lip underneath a lipstick. I love a classic red lip and i just wanted to refine my look a little more. I have now started to use them all over the lip, they have incredible staying power and i sometimes just leave it there and not bother with a lipstick as they are so creamy and look great just on their own. I picked up a further two shades in pink and nude, these are the names by the way – not very inventive, so there’s a downside although the upside is that they are a twist up pen which i rate far more than a pencil you need to sharpen. I have to mention the price, this is the real reason to go and pick up a few as they are only £6.75 and with No 7 constantly running a 3 for 2 offer you can have all three up for under £15.00!
I also got my hands on the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, perfect for wiping off all the above at the end of the day. I’ve seen the classic pink bottle everywhere but this one caught my eye, it’s for combination skin so perfect for me. There’s not much more to say about this, a perfect lazy make up removing day just drench a cotton pad and wipe your face – done!
I guess i can justify my haul with the fact that i’m racking up the advantage points, right?
