The Beauty Edition: Birchbox June 15

I was so pleased with my first Birchbox that it gave me the idea to just blog about it monthly, there is always something to rave about in the box. Even if you already have the subscription not all boxes are the same, the products are tailored to you and they pick them from a questionnaire you fill out when you sign up. Whether you have the subscription or not if you’re anything like me it’s always nice to have a snoop! This month you could pick your own design which i was so excited about, i really thought that was a nice touch. Naturally i went for the ‘French Sole’ box, it was only a few posts ago i was declaring my love for all things Parisian inspired.

Products i received this month:

  1. English Laundry No.7 For Her
  2. ‘Yes To’ Cucumber Facial Wipes
  3. Balance Me Moisterising Body Wash
  4. Beauty Protector Hair Protect & Detangle
  5. Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lip Stain
  6. STYLondon Temporary Tattoos

Six lovely products in the box this month, some familiar and some new brands. I have been keen to try the ‘Yes To’ cucumber and carrot range (caught my eye on ASOS of all places) although i’m not a huge fan of face wipes, i try to avoid them as they dry out my skin but these are beauty award winning so will probably end up being my go to on lazy days. The Balance Me products are something i have also seen before in fact i have seen more and more of this British brand recently, the products are packed with essential oils and naturally active ingredients so really kind to the skin. I have already had a whiff of the body wash it smells divine, priced at £9.00 i can’t repeat myself enough about how great value for money Birchbox is.

There have been mixed reviews online about this months box contents, i have seen a lot of comments on Instagram slating the temporary tattoos. Sure, they are not everyone’s cup of tea but a bit of fun and great for festivals or girly days out with friends, i really do think some people need to lighten up! Not everything in the box is going to be to your own taste but that’s the whole idea of the subscription, with a minimum of five products each month you’ll surely discover something that you like, and hopefully something new.

The best part about the box is the cute little drawstring bag, it’s adorable! i think the idea is that it’s to hold flat shoes but i’ll probably use it to take around make up bits and bobs. I’ll be looking out for cute pictures of the other box designs and i would love to see if anyone received different goodies to mine.

How lovely of you to drop by!
