I have raved about my Birchbox to death now and it’s pretty obvious that some of it’s contents were going to make there way into my favourites post this month. I dedicated a post solely to the Nude ProGenius Treatment Oil, so if you want to read more about that then just have a peek back on my post as i’m still loving this. Another product i have been a little obsessed with from the box is a nail varnish, surprisingly a pastel nude colour, i say surprisingly as i’m a classic red girl when it comes to nails and lips. The brand is Lola Barcelona and the shade is in ‘Born’, a lovely pastel pink/mink colour which also has a slight shimmer to it, although very subtle. I was really impressed with the quality, only two coats needed and extremely long lasting, i managed to get five days wear out of this before any chipping started to appear. There are some adorable colours within the range, they seem to do pastel so well and not too overly girly. You can buy them direct from the Birchbox website for £7.50 each, worth the extra spend in my eyes.
Not everything i post at the moment is Birchbox related – i promise! I recently placed an order on ASOS for a few spring/summer pieces and picked up the cutest ring. I love cluster style rings and i’m a huge fan of midi rings but this was something in between, more on the edgy side but the pearls definitely add a feminine touch. Silver detailing is so my thing, i prefer it over a gold so this style was perfect for me. I love that it looks like four rings in one, it’s still on the website and a steal for £8.00.
Finally, i have gone back to an old favourite this month which is Nivea gentle exfoliating scrub. I picked this up on a recent trip to Boots and decided to incorporate it back into my skin care routine. Nivea is such a great brand, completely affordable and so kind to the skin. I don’t just slap this on my face, i use it on my elbows and knees too, it really does exactly what it should and it leaves my skin so silky smooth – a Sunday night pamper essential!
I have held back on the spending this month (that’s what learning to drive will do to your bank balance) i’d love to know what you have been loving this month?
