Perfume plays a key role in my ‘outfit of the day’, i feel naked without a good spritz. I’m a lover of warm, spicy scents and i do like something quite strong but now we are coming out of the colder months i sway towards a lighter more sweet smell. The sun is creeping out slowly and us British folk are all for that, sandals (and socks, for some) at the ready. I want an ice cream in one hand and a bottle of perfume in another. I treated myself and splurged on a huge 100ml bottle of Love Struck by Vera Wang.
Firstly the bottle, isn’t it super cute? Some may think that the lid is a bit ‘much’ but i like it and i think it makes a statement, certainly looks lovely on my dressing table. The scent itself is just divine, a perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The main notes are Musk so there is still that deep, spice like smell that i really like but with added hints of lotus blossom and pink guava this perfume leaves a light floral note to the skin. The best thing about this perfume that i have to rave about is that IT LASTS, so many perfumes have left me feeling hugely disappointed by the sheer fact that they fade so quickly. Now, i have to admit i do go a bit over kill when it comes to perfume, i like to leave an impression, so what? I like that i won’t have to carry this ginormous bottle around in handbag simply because i won’t need to.
