The Food Edition: Sweet Tooth Satisfaction

Forget the in store cake aisle, forget the bakery, have you ever been to a dessert restaurant? Sounds divine doesn’t it. In my local town of Hitchin is a restaurant that dreams are made of, all sweet tooth lovers come together to gorge on sugary goodness. With late night servings until 10pm you really can have dessert for dinner.

With an extensive menu of crepes to waffles, sundaes and home made cakes there is something for everyone’s taste buds. If you’re anything like me, hopeless at counting calories with a spoon at the ready for a second serving don’t feel too guilty, at £6.00 or less a pudding you can afford to give into temptation.

On one of my recent trips (there has been many) i tucked into something delicious called ‘The Cheesecake’ and it was heavenly. It consisted of a plain waffle with a sweet cream cheese, berry compote and crushed digestive biscuit topping and a choice of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Get ready to drool…

This must be the most tempting plate of food on the planet, right? Let’s face it, who would deny dessert for dinner. If i have enticed you enough to take a trip yourself then head to the pretty little village of Hitchin where you will find Just Desserts on Bridge Street, or have a peek at their mouth watering menu here.
